ConsenSys, a leading blockchain software company, is set to launch a decentralized version of Infura by the end of this year. According to Simon Morris, head of strategy at the firm, their aim is to develop a TCP/IP-like architecture that cannot be regulated and will be managed by a DAO or foundation. There is also the possibility that Infura may issue tokens in the future. Infura, currently a centralized platform that allows developers to access the Ethereum blockchain, has attracted criticism for its reliance on a single provider. A decentralized version would help address these concerns.
