The U.S. Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) has announced enforcement actions against DeFi platforms and filed charges against three platforms: ZeroEx, Opyn, and Deridex. The charges include failure to register as a swap execution facility or designated contract market, failing to register as a futures commission merchant, and failing to adopt a customer identification program as part of a Bank Secrecy Act compliance program. Additionally, the charges allege that the platforms illegally delivered leveraged and margined retail commodity transactions in digital assets. These actions reportedly aim to protect investors and promote market integrity.
