MicroStrategy, one of the largest Bitcoin holders, has acquired an additional 5,445 BTC, worth approximately $147.3 million, bringing its total Bitcoin holdings to 158,245 BTC, worth approximately $4.68 billion. The average price of the new BTC was $27,053, compared to the average price of $29,582 for its existing holdings. MicroStrategy has been steadily buying up Bitcoin since August 2020, with CEO Michael Saylor seeing it as a reliable store of value in the face of inflation. The bold move gained some opinions, divided on whether it was a brave move or a risky bet.
