Binance decided to halt its Visa debit card service in the European Economic Area two months after Visa and Mastercard ended their partnerships with the firm. The card aimed to help consumers spend digital currency on goods and services, with cashback bonuses offered. The card will stay active until December 20 for existing holders. While Binance’s relationships with traditional finance institutions have broken down, PayPal and Visa are expanding their interests in digital currencies. Last month, Visa expanded its USDC stablecoin settlement capabilities.
