The Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) has approved its first-ever spot Bitcoin ETF, the VanEck Bitcoin ETF, which will be available for trading from June 20. VanEck will be the issuer, receiving approval for trading spot Bitcoin ETFs in the U.S. in January. The Asia-Pacific CEO of VanEck, Arian Neiron, highlighted the increasing demand for BTC exposure in a regulated and transparent manner. This approval marks the first Bitcoin ETF for the ASX, following similar launches by other firms on the Cboe exchange in Australia. VanEck aims to ensure secure and compliant investor access to this new Bitcoin asset class.
