According to Forbes, former Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao currently owns 94 million BNB tokens, which account for 64% of the total supply. A forensic wallet analysis also revealed that Zhao, along with the founding team of Binance, controls half of the 80 million tokens initially allocated to them. During Binance’s 2017 ICO, only 11 million of the 100 million available tokens were sold, with Binance retaining the unsold tokens. Zhao’s net worth exceeds $61 billion, making him the 24th richest person in the world. Moreover, Zhao’s wealth has increased since his imprisonment due to money laundering, as BNB peaked at $717.48 on June 6.
