Martin Shkreli also known as ‘Pharma Bro’  announced that he was involved in the production of a Solana-based token named DJT. The token has attracted lots of attention mainly due to rumours that stated that it was being ‘fronted’ by the young son of the ex-president of the United States of America, Barron Trump. 

Thus, announcing it on June 18 during the X Spaces session, which described his involvement in the token’s creation. Shkreli said his involvement with the company dates back to April when he was “launching a friend’s company,” which was DJT. He said that approximately ten entities contributed to the token development, while forty to fifty people knew about the project. 

This disclosure came hours after Arkham Intelligence offered a $150,000 bounty, for whoever revealed the face behind DJT. The bounty was posted following Shkreli’s agreement to a $100 million challenge with popular crypto trader GCR on the authenticity of the DJT token.

Blockchain investigator ZachXBT said in X that Shkreli had directly messaged him saying he has more than 1000 documents proving he began the formation of the DJT token. After ZachXBT’s submission for the bounty, Shkreli held the X Spaces session that provided insight into the contribution of the man to the token. 

ZachXBT also shared the blockchain transaction history that connects DJT to Shkreli. Among the large DJT holders, one actively incurred a sale of $832,000 of tokens to acquire the USDC stablecoin. This wallet also contained significantly large portions of Entebe, Shkreli’s project token also known as Shoggoth. ai, which again implies a linkage. 

Earlier than such disclosures, Shkreli was posturing that DJT was an official associate of the Trump campaign. He took it one step further by actually going head-to-head with another crypto trader by the name of GCR in a $100 million wager on the authenticity of the token. 

Over time, the implicates of the biography increases with Shkreli especially being associated with the creation of the DJT token making it a more twisted narrative in the already complex world of cryptocurrency and meme tokens.
