While Bitcoin is busy with its attempt to reclaim $60k levels, attention is now turning to altcoins, which offer potential for big gains. Analyst Matthew Perry opened up about coins that represent a blend of established players and emerging contenders, each with their own story. Here’s the list:

XRP: The coin, currently trading at $0.57 with a market cap of $32 billion, holds a significant position in the market. With Ripple’s growing partnerships with banks, both national and international, XRP could soon become a standard in financial transactions.

Litecoin (LTC): Dubbed as the ‘Underrated OG’ the coin has been around for a long time, often considered the silver to Bitcoin’s gold. Litecoin reached a high of $412 in 2021, but he believes it has the potential to soar even higher, possibly reaching $1,000 or more.

Terra Luna Classic (LUNC): Terra Luna Classic, despite its ups and downs, is a coin that he believes still has a lot of potential. With recent upgrades and a market cap that once surged to $2 billion, LUNC has shown that it can make significant moves when least expected. The coin has a history of surprising the market, and as we move into a new altcoin season.

Cronos (CRO): Cronos, the native token of the Crypto.com ecosystem, is his final pick. CRO has always been a key part of my portfolio because of its deep integration with the Crypto.com platform. With Crypto.com’s continued growth and potential future burns, he sees CRO rising to $2, $3, or even $4.

Conclusion:

Bitcoin broke above its previous all-time high in 2013, it took around 180 days (about six months) before the altcoin season truly kicked off. During that time, Bitcoin continued to rise with no altcoin season in sight. The key takeaway here is that the 2017 altcoin season only lasted about two months. The best time to prepare for such a season is to buy before it begins, even though it might seem counterintuitive.
